How We Got Our Start

Black Dove got its start when we published "Alloria Rising" in 2003. Since then we have explored and experimented with different media, but after experiencing the entire panoply of media choices we settled on books. Books have an ineffable magic about them no other medium can really match. Working with authors, typographers, photographers, designers, printers, and the many other artists who create books makes for a wonderful work life.
